Oh, fudge!

søndag 25. september 2011, kl. 20.43 · av Emily Williams for Snakker ikke norsk · 0 kommentarer

Fluffernutter!!! Hoover dam and shitake mushrooms! This week on Snakker Ikke Norsk, it’s all about the expletive deleted.

Come with us on a journey to a place where few radio programs (especially commercial ones, who are much more subject to the rules of media sensorship than we are) dare to go: cussin’! Most of us were not allowed to swear in front of our parents as kids, and as adults, we at least try to keep our mouths clean when we’re on the air, as to avoid offending the sensitive little ears of our listeners. But that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about swearing. After all, cussing is one of the most natural things in the world. When you stub your toe, the first thing that comes out of your mouth is not likely to be “Oh dear, I seem to have stubbed my toe,” but something more along the lines of, “Oh %&#?!”

In this hour, we hear a song about the difficulties of avoiding swearing, and also learn about one of the most useful aspects of swearing—pain relief. Want to learn to be a potty mouth in the prettiest way possible? You’ll learn to swear a la francaise. In addition, we’ll examine the origins of the most infamous four-letter words in the English language.

Listen to the whole **** hour of **** fun:
